During our Benefit Dinner held on November 1, 2014, we had the pleasure of having Dr. Melinda Cain speak about cross-cultural communication and development. Dr. Cain is currently a professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and she teaches Intercultural Communications and International Affairs. The 2014 GROW interns also spoke about their experiences working directly with Himalayan Healthcare in Nepal. It was a very inspiring night!
Until our next Benefit Dinner, check out Hearts in the Himalayas – a documentary which was premiered during the 2012 Benefit Dinner. The award-winning humanitarian journalist Debi Lang spent two years documenting the efforts of HHC. The film, which can be found on HHC’s website, truly captures the rural areas that HHC works in and gives you a glimpse of the workings of HHC.
