Local Community

Dragon Boat Festival: Volunteering at the Pepsi stall

Giving Back

Community is one of the core values of GlobeMed. We firmly believe strong communities create a stable and supportive environment for change. While GlobeMed has created a sense of global community through its partnership with Himalayan Health Care in Nepal, in the recent years CU-Boulder chapter has also been emphasizing the importance of establishing a stronger relationship with the local community. With the latter aim in mind, GlobeMedders volunteered at Bolder Boulder and Dragon Boat Festival, two of the biggest summer events in the Boulder area. At Bolder Boulder, we were responsible for sorting out recycling, composts, and landfills properly while we served water and cold drinks to the visitors at Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. While giving back to the community, GlobeMed had the opportunity to get its cause heard to locals not necessarily affiliated with the University.

This summer was the first year that GlobeMed was able to participate in these local events, however, we plan to get more involved in the years to come. Please email with potential opportunities for GlobeMed to get involved in the local Boulder area.
